THE LAW IS CHANGING

 

From 1st June 2016, a proof of competence certificate will now have to be shown by those wishing to control rodents in a commercial environment. This includes professional pest controllers in private and public sectors, farmers, land managers, gamekeepers , local authority staff and others.

Under the stewardship regime, professional use rodenticide labels will state, ‘For supply to and use only by professional users holding certification demonstrating that they have been trained according to the UK second generation anticoagulant rodenticide (SGAR) stewardship programme requirements.’

At Food Chain Academy, we will be providing LANTRA approved rodent courses with a highly experienced trainer.

Duration: 10am-2pm
This course is required by Poultry Passport for Frm Managers, RElief Farm Managers and Owners who have responsibility for the site, Hatchery Managers, Supervisors and Chargehands.

 

18th APRIL 2016
Promoting Good Gut Health in Broilers
Venue: Taunton, Somerset
Duration: 12:30-4:30
This course will focus on Campylobacter and promoting good gut health through the use of probiotics.

 

21st APRIL 2016
Poultry Welfare (Broilers) and Farm Biosecurity & Hygiene
Venue: Sherborne, Dorset
Duration: 10am-3pm
